For years, I have been hunting for a perfect moisturizer that does work and does not cause any breaking on my skin. First, I tried Clinique “Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ with Pump”. It did not do any harm to my skin but no significant benefit as well. It is like when you are young and want to use some product but also you really did not need to. For me, I need stronger, more effective products since first time in my life I hear my skin begs for the moisture.
I want this blog to track my daily experience; therefore will not go in detail for other products that I used that did not work for me. Here is the short list:
Shseido “Benefiance WrinkleResist24”
Seems very good product but caused braking on my skin and tingling feeling little extended so I stop using immediately. Smells good and texture is great.
Today. I start trying two products that my sister purchased online. It caused breakage on her face. She is on her twenties and has a combination skin type same as I do. Since I am in my thirties, I wanted to try it and share my experience with you.
Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence Korean product that formulated with 96% snail mucin. Yes, it sounds bleh. Don’t we do everything for beauty! 🙂 It helps skin to keep its moisture, as they say.
I applied serum to the clean face all the way down to my neck. Afterwards I applied snail cream generously all over my face including neck as well. So far, it has been over an hour and I feel great. When I touch my face, I feel there is a product on my face but nothing like greasy felling, just gives me an impression that I might have an effective moisturizer on my skin. We will see. I will keep you posted by adding to this post.
COSRX Oil Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap Korean product that is to provide extreme moisturize and improve the skin texture as they say.
Night I did not apply anything. Even though I am promising myself to wash my face before go to bed, still skipping at least 3 times a week.
All day yesterday my skin was smooth, did not get oily or greasy. I like how soft it was. I was expecting today more since it is the second day, of course, it is unrealistic expectation but at least I should have felt the same way as if I did yesterday. Close to the noon, I felt need to apply more. I did not apply. In the evening will see how it will feels. Overall, my experience is nice; I do feel some softness to it. I will combine with my anti-aging creams and update this blog a month later. Fingers are crossed.
There are many products in the market that I heard good things about them. Some of them are so nicely packed, I just want to own them because they look so cute, or smell so good. Mark Jacobs Coconut Dew is one of them. I bought it because of a nice bottle, and the perfect smell. I like the sparkle it leaves on the skin as well but it shows all the imperfections if I do not cover it up with a foundation.
My decision is to continue using the products along with Chanel anti-aging products that I also mentioned in my blog. One more thing I am adding at night that I heard nice things about it from several bloggers that I follow; ESTÉE LAUDER Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II.
I haven’t used it long enough to put my comments to it but what I heard is that is balancing the skin tone and holds the moisturizer so well on your skin.
As I said, once these bottles are over I will make a decision what to keep, what not to keep. If you are tired of limitless options and cannot make a decision, follow me. We will use limited products but finally will find the best combination without getting overwhelmed.
Still dreaming about the Tatcha though, because its tester was nice and the bottles are awesome too. I will add that to my try next list and watch some videos about it to see if it is worth to try. Leave me your thoughts.
Have a great skin day!
